In-House Tournament
This friendly and fun tournament is meant to introduce participants to WKF-style competition. The rules will be modified to accommodate varying ages and ranks. All proceeds go to supporting Dojo operations and charities. This year’s designated charity is the Dojo’s Pink Belt Campaign for Breast Cancer Research.

Divisions
Kata, Kumite, Team Kata (teams of 3)
Children (8-11); Youth (12-15); Adult
Divided by rank (White=Yellow-Orange Belt; Green-Blue-Brown Belt; Black Belt)*
* tournament organizers reserve the right to combine/expand divisions based on registration numbers.

10:00 – Welcome and Rules Clinic
10:15 – Team Kata
Kata and Kumite by age and rank division
Cost
$30 for one division before October 11
$40 for two divisions before October 11
$50 for one or two divisions after October 11
$15 for Team Kata (if not registered in individual kata and/or kumite)
** Black Belts who serve as officials can compete at no charge
Rules:
Modified WKF Rules
All divisions are double-elimination (each competitor is guaranteed 2 matches per division)
Kumite matches are one minute, stop time
Kata matches are head to head using flags
White, Yellow, and Orange Belt competitors may repeat their kata
Green, Blue, and Brown Belt competitors may not do the same kata back to back but may return to a previous kata later in the round
Black Belt competitors may not repeat a kata (except in the event of a second final match)
There will be one Team Kata division that includes all ranks

No bunkai is required
Required Equipment:
A pink and a white belt (if you don’t have these we will provide them)
WKF homologated fist and shin/instep protection
Mouth guard
Groin protection is strongly recommended
Head protection is optional (we will have some on hand)
